His academic work includes writings on Slovak national and cultural identity in the historical and contemporary perspective, contemporary Slovak fiction, and the reception of Slovak literature in Poland. He is the author of the book Pamięć – mit – tożsamość. Słowackie procesy autoidentyfikacyjne w okresie odrodzenia narodowego (Memory – Myth – Identity.
