Art and Heritage in Central Europe<\/h1>

Intellectual History in East Central Europe is a research network initiated by a group of early career scholars at Central European University in Budapest\/Vienna and Charles University in Prague. Their main interest was to create a platform which would promote a dialogue between scholars and doctoral students on the challenges of writing about intellectual history in East Central Europe and beyond. The network has broadened to include scholars affiliated with Comenius University in Bratislava, Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, University of Cambridge, and is continuing to grow.<\/p>\n

The aim of the platform is to organize reading seminars, invite speakers and researchers to present in a seminar style workshops, and to in this way establish a network of scholars interested in intellectual history of the region, with the view to transnational, comparative, and global perspectives.
\nAll the \u201cmarkers\u201d in the app have been carefully selected and created by experts (historians, geographers, local heritage specialists, and others). They feature incredible historical images from archives and museums that you won\u2019t find elsewhere.<\/p>\n
