Never before has it been possible to admire such a wealth of international loans by the master in Austria.<\/p>\n<p>The comprehensive show &#8220;&#8221;Rembrandt \u2013 Hoogstraten&#8221; will amaze you with impressive paintings and drawings. The abundance of masterpieces not only provides an insight into Dutch Baroque painting, but also illuminates Rembrandt and Hoogstraten\u2019s shared fascination with illusionistic deception and virtual reality.\u00a0Loans from renowned museums all over the world, including the National Gallery in London, the Rijksmuseum, the Louvre and the Metropolitan Museum, have made it possible to show these sensational works together for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue &#8211; a lavishly illustrated volume that explores Rembrandt\u2019s work and artistic personality from the perspective of his exceptionally innovative pupil Samuel van Hoogstraten. Van Hoogstraten\u2019s multi-faceted oeuvre clearly betrays the influence of his teacher Rembrandt, in turn Rembrandt was stimulated by the creative impulses he received from the younger colleague.
