Art and Heritage in Central Europe<\/h1>

Check out the exhibitions available at the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum (Bratislava) right now, until June 15th, 2025:<\/p>\n

1. Adam \u0160akov\u00fd\u2018s exhibition entitled “A zostal iba popol” (“And Only Ashes Remain”) a sequel of the exhibition “Na po\u010diatku bol ohe\u0148” (“In the Beginning, There Was Fire”, Spot Gallery Prague, 2025), features a series of oil paintings and objects on which he has been systematically working since 2021. Thematically, he draws from the semantics of fire, opening up intimate and social themes, which he conveys with a universal visual language through metaphors, perso\u00adnification, and symbolism: https:\/\/danubiana.sk\/en\/vystavy\/a-zostal-iba-popol<\/a><\/p>\n

2. Nat\u00e1lia \u0160imonov\u00e1 (*1995, \u017diar nad Hronom) \u2013 graduated from the Academy of Arts in Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica in 2020 (Rastislav Podoba’s studio), where she is currently continuing her doctoral studies with Ji\u0159\u00ed David. Her exhibition is entitled “Grandstands, Fences, Antennas”: https:\/\/danubiana.sk\/en\/vystavy\/tribuny-ploty-anteny<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3. “Ma\u0165\u00e1tko\u00b4s library – Illustrations, Books, and Stories”. Mat\u00fa\u0161 Ma\u0165\u00e1tko and book illustration are inseparable, like salt and the sea, wind and the mountains and black soil and fertile fields. His style has inspired linocut, comics and street art. At heart, he is a graphic artist, and his visual language is recognizable at first glance. As a result, Ma\u0165\u00e1tko\u2019s world is perceived by young and old.
