The conference is organized by\u00a0Dr. Mariana Bodnaruk\u00a0(Faculty of History, University of Warsaw).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"541\" data-end=\"1074\">The conference will focus on\u00a0inscribed art of Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages, examining the relationship between image, text, and material object. Papers may address inscriptions on monuments, mosaics, frescoes, coins, seals, ceramics, and everyday objects, and explore their role in shaping\u00a0political authority, religious practices, social identities, and daily life. The thematic and geographical scope includes the late Roman Empire as well as the Mediterranean, the Caucasus, the Near East, and parts of Africa.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1298\">The organizers invite proposals for\u00a020-minute papers in English. The conference will be held\u00a0in person, participation is\u00a0free of charge, and the\u00a0conference proceedings will be published\u00a0as an edited volume.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1464\">Submission deadline is\u00a016 March 2026.
