Developments in 19th and early 20th century Europe\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"txtblock wow fadeIn\" data-wow-delay=\"0.2s\">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-xl-8 offset-xl-2 col-lg-10 offset-lg-1\">\r\n        <h1 class=\"wow fadeInUp\" data-wow-delay=\"0.2s\">Art and Heritage in Central Europe<\/h1>            <div class=\"txt wow fadeInUp\" data-wow-delay=\"0.3s\"><p>Research project &#8220;Social mobility of elites in the Central European regions (1861\u20131926) and transition of imperial experience and structures in nation-states&#8221; is provided by\u00a0Czech Science Foundation, organised by <\/span>Charles University, Faculty of Science (main investigator doc. PhDr. Alice Velkov\u00e1, Ph.D.) and\u00a0Masaryk Institute and Archives of the ASCR, v. v. i. (investigator Dr. Vlad Vasile Popovici).<\/p>\n<p>Time duration: 1 January 2020 \u2013 31 December 2024<\/p>\n<p>The interdisciplinary project analyses and compares transformation processes in modern European societies on the example of two non-central regions of the Habsburg Monarchy: Bohemia and Transylvania. It shows how social mobility, education, family and other ties of elite social groups contribute to de\/stabilizing of the society as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>One of the aims of the project is to create a database of all MPs elected in the Bohemian lands between 1848 and 1992. The members of the EXPRO project also participate in completing the database, which will be launched at the end of 2022 through a web application presenting the history of Czech parliamentarism. One of the outputs of the project so far has been the National Museum&#8217;s exhibition on the Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>More information: <a href=\"https:\/\/elitesresearch.com\/en\/about-the-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/elitesresearch.com\/en\/about-the-project\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Team of the project organise a workshop &#8220;Careers in politics, politics as a career. <\/span>Developments in 19th and early 20th century Europe&#8221;. In what ways could a political career influence social mobility? What were the differences between a political career on the local and national level? How did family ties interfere with political careers? What impact did family ties and other personal liaisons have on political careers? These are some of the questions which will be answered during a workshop that will take place in Prague and on-line on 14 and 15 November 2022.
