Ma\u0142gorzata Mirga-Tas\u201d at the ICC in Krakow PROLONGED"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"txtblock wow fadeIn\" data-wow-delay=\"0.2s\">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-xl-8 offset-xl-2 col-lg-10 offset-lg-1\">\r\n        <h1 class=\"wow fadeInUp\" data-wow-delay=\"0.2s\">Art and Heritage in Central Europe<\/h1>            <div class=\"txt wow fadeInUp\" data-wow-delay=\"0.3s\"><p>\u201cTravelling Images\u201d is the first solo exhibition of Ma\u0142gorzata Mirga-Tas \u2013 currently the major representative of contemporary Roma art \u2013 after the great success at this year\u2019s 59. Biennial of Art in Venice. At the ICC we show a large selection of the artist\u2019s works from years 2017\u20132022, including the series \u201cOut of Egypt\u201d and the series of large-format tapestries titled \u201cHerstories\u201d. We also present new works addressing, among others, the history of the Roma community in Nowa Huta and the Roma memory.<\/p>\n<p>Ma\u0142gorzata Mirga-Tas draws on the art of the past, especially Renaissance painting, as well as on everyday life. On the one hand she appropriates significant elements of European heritage and early modern art.
