The aim is to show that art has always included multiple and parallel conceptions of artistic quality. The basic polarities of the art of those times \u2060\u2013\u2060 official and unofficial, abstract and figurative, formal and socially engaged \u2060\u2013\u2060 mutually conditioned each other\u2019s existence but almost never existed as black-and-white maximums.<\/p>\n<p>The permanent exhibition at the <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ngprague.cz\/en\/about\/buildings\/trade-fair-palace\">Trade Fair Palace<\/a> in Prague presents art as testimony of the times: the result of not only purely authorial but also social, political, and economic forces.
