Art and Heritage in Central Europe<\/h1>

The exhibition presents works by six \u201cstar\u201d representatives among the originators of modern art: Franti\u0161ek Kupka, Emil Filla, Anton\u00edn Proch\u00e1zka, Jan Zrzav\u00fd, Franti\u0161ek Folt\u00fdn, and Toyen. Together, and each in his or her own way, were significantly formative for the Czech and European modern and avant-garde in the first half of the 20th century.<\/p>\n

The works in this exhibition are on loan thanks to Nad\u00e1cia Sovereign Invest, thanks to whom we can present you a choice selection of paintings by outstanding art personalities, assembled specially for the SNG. The collection nods to this year’s 30th anniversary of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, but above all to the life and art of the shared republic. Enjoy this precious encounter vis \u00e0 vis some uncommon and truly exceptional art, and \u201ctouch the stars\u201d.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is open at the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava from September 15, 2023 to January 14, 2024.<\/p>\n
