Marko Špikić
Graduated in Art History and Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. From December 1999 he was a teaching assistant at the Art History Department in Zagreb, teaching History and Theory of Architectural Conservation in Europe from the Renaissance to the present. Assistant Professor since March 2010. His research focuses on the history and theory of conservation in Croatia and Europe. He has published: Humanisti i starine. Od Petrarke do Bionda (Humanists and Antiquities: from Petrarch to Biondo, 2006) and Francesco Carrara, polihistor, antikvar i konzervator (1812–1854) (Francesco Carrara, Polyhistor, Antiquarian and Conservator, 2010). Chairman of ICOMOS Croatia since September 2011.
