The National Gallery in Prague would like to invite researchers to the conference “Petr Brandl (1668–1735)” organised in connection with the exhibition “Petr Brandl –The Story of a Bohemian” (Waldstein Riding School, October 20, 2023–February 2, 2024) on February 5–6, 2024 in the auditorium of the Trade Fair Palace (Dukelských hrdinů 47, Prague 7).

This conference is the first-ever academic conference dedicated to Petr Brandl (1668 Prague – 1735 Kutná Hora) – one of Bohemia’s most prominent Baroque painters.

Please send an abstract of your paper (max. 1000 characters) and a brief CV (or a web link to it) by September 1, 2023, to the e-mail address of the exhibition curator Andrea Steckerová: andrea.steckerova@ngprague.cz. You will be notified about the selected submissions by the beginning of October. The final presentation should be 20 minutes in length. The organisers plan to publish the selected papers in print.
