Krzysztofory Palace, a branch of the Museum of Krakow, invites you to the temporary exhibition “Włodzimierz Tetmajer. The power of colour and temper” from 30.06.2023 to 12.11.2023. It’s a monographic exhibition – a comprehensive presentation of the creative output – the first exhibition of this type and scale of the work of Włodzimierz Tetmajer (1861–1923), a painter and a leading representative of the Young Poland period, a politician and independence activist.

The dominant part of the exhibition is devoted to painting, covering both easel and monumental painting. It encompasses oil paintings, painting sketches, as well as designs of polychromes and illustrations. In the exhibition area, thematic spaces were sectioned off and devoted to the following themes: biography, etnographic work, illustration work, political activity.
