Art and Heritage in Central Europe

City Museum of Ljubljana invites you to participate in the third edition of the symposium dedicated to the practice of exhibiting art, architecture, and design in Slovenia. The symposium is dedicated to the medium of the exhibition, to the phenomenon of exhibiting visual arts, architecture, and design, and questions regarding the art system in Slovenia in the context of the broader Central-European framework from the 19th century until today. They extend an invitation for submissions to all those exploring these topics across a diverse array of contexts and fields.

They encourage an interdisciplinary and comparative approach in considering specific exhibitions and exhibition practices. They welcome all content that provides an in-depth consideration of the symposium’s topic. They accept all research approaches and subjects, except for presentations of the submitters’ own artistic or curatorial exhibition projects.

Participants from outside Slovenia may lecture in English or Serbian, Croatian, or Bosnian.
